Mr. Iftikhar Arif is leading scholar, renowned poet and intellectual. He is former Chairman of Pakistan Academy of Letters and has also served actively in the official endeavors for promotion of culture and literature. His poetic works have been widely published and portions have been translated into English, Russian, German, Persian, Hindi and other languages. He has been decorated with Crescent of Distinction (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) and Star of Excellence (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) and presidential Pride of Performance awards. A number of theses have also been written on his poetry and personality by post-graduate students in various universities of Pakistan.
