Obama’s new strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan has provided fresh impetus to the regional politics in South Asia. On one side it has underscored the limitations and compulsions, US has in the war in Afghanistan, and on the other side, it reflects US approach towards Pakistan that US wants a greater role of Pakistan in its engagement in the region.
