[Economic cooperation between China and South Asian countries has increased significantly but people to people dimension particularly cultural cooperation, as compared, lags behind. Yunnan province, owing to its geographic closeness to South Asia as well as its own cultural diversity, holds a lot of promise for establishing cultural cooperation between China and SAARC region.   – Eds.]
