Enhancing Educational Cooperation The Case of Yunnan

Abstract

[Due to its proximity to South Asian states, and recent efforts aimed at enhancing its own quality of education, Yunnan province of China presents immense opportunities of cooperation in education, learning of languages and information exchanges. Provincial authorities encourage students from South Asian countries and offer scholarships. Intergovernmental dialogues have also been organized. Enhanced student exchanges; interaction among officials, teachers and scholars may serve the purpose of establishing cordial regional environment.   – Eds.]
