Abstract
[China Radio International (CRI) broadcasts across the SAARC region in seven local languages and has various arrangements of cooperation in the field of media between China and South Asian countries. It needs little stress that coverage of various events and developments happening in this region by the prevalent international media remains far from balanced. Considering that there are increasingly serious concerns about the authenticity of and the agenda behind the news coming to people, CRI has been focusing upon balanced coverage of China, region and the world affairs. – Eds.]
