Delegation of Turkish Academicians visits IPS

A three member delegation representing miscellaneous Turkish institutions visited IPS on June 27, 2014 to discuss and explore collaboration opportunities in various areas of mutual interest.

turkish1The visiting team comprised Veysi Kaya, Coordinator International Services and Projects, Turkiye Diyanet Foundation, Merlut Uzdemir, Principle of International Imam Khatip High School, Ministry of National Education and Ramzan Ertisrk, Dean of the School of Theology, Erciyes University. They were accompanied by Abdur Rahman Usmani, CEO, Al-Hijrah School Trust, Pakistan.

The delegates were briefed about the vision and mission of IPS, its thematic research areas, achievements and goals.

The IPS program on Madrassah Educational Institutions (REI) generated a very interesting conversation discussing need of this program, the role of Madrassahs and opportunities for students graduating from there.

The discussion also identified and explored various other areas where collaborative ventures could be initiated such as student and researcher exchanges, publishing of counterparts literature and translation of each others intellectual and philosophical treasures.
