IPS represented in ‘National Dialogue on Pakistan Studies Curriculum’

On the invitation of Pakistan Study Center, University of Peshawar, IPS was represented by assistant research coordinator Muhammad Yaseen Naseem in ‘National Dialogue on Pakistan Studies Curriculum’, held in Baragali, Abbottabad on August 3-5, 2014.

The IPS representative made a presentation on the occasion titled ‘Curriculum of Pakistan Studies: An Educationist Perspective’, comparing several components of existing curriculum of Pakistan Studies with the structural model of curriculum that is accepted globally.

Beside recommending the revision of Pakistan Studies curriculum on periodical basis, the researcher suggested that government should engage subject specialists, educationists and psychologists to build the subjects curriculum on ideological foundations of Pakistan in such a way that instills the sense of nationhood among students, alongside preparing them for contemporary challenges.

The event, which was attended by scholars, experts, and academics from across Pakistan, provided them a platform to exchange views and share experiences in a very conducive environment.
