Delegation of educationists from Balochistan

A delegation of BACE (Balochistan Advisory Council for Education) visited IPS on February 3, 2017, and had an interactive session with DG-IPS Khalid Rahman and other team members of the Institute on the role of think tanks in policy making as well as over the issues related to education policies at the federal and provincial levels, especially Balochistan. They apprised the IPS faculty about the initiatives, such as BACE, taken by the government of Balochistan in the education sector.
The guests included Saadullah Tokhi, chairman, Balochistan Text Book Board, Syed Nisar Ahmad, deputy focal person, Policy Planning & Implementation Unit (PPIU), Education department, Aimal Khan, assistant focal person, PPIU, Dr Sahibzada Baz Muhammad, dean / HOD, Islamiat department, University of Balochistan, Maulana Wali Muhammad Turrabi, BACE member /district ameer, JUI(F), Zia ur Rehman Khilji, deputy director Education, and Mohsin Shah, director, Education Schools.
The meeting was facilitated by Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP).
Senior IPS Associate and Chairman Press Council of Pakistan (PCP) Dr Salah-ud-Din Mengal was also present on the occasion.
