Training session on ‘Work Place Ethics’

As part of IPS’ Team Development Program, a session titled ‘Work Place Ethics’ was organized on July 03, 2017. The session which was aimed at capacitating the workforce of IPS both on personal and professional fronts, was addressed by renowned trainer and IPS associate Syed Ikram-ul-Haque as resource person.
Defining work ethics as a set of moral principles and standards of behaviors which should be adhered-to in a working environment, the speaker stressed that the mission, goals, objectives and targets of any organization could only be achieved by following certain virtues and values in their entirety. Time management, quality of commitment, information confidentiality, ergonomics (people’s efficiency in their workingenvironments), use of organizational assets and office discipline were some of the areas of concern highlighted by the speaker in this regard where he observed the standards of ethics were being regularly breached both in public and private workspaces.
The speaker stressed the need for moral uplift in the given areas urging everyone to play individual as well as collective role in curbing such inappropriate practices in order to make their workspaces more efficient, peaceful and productive.
