‘Youth Volunteerism and ICT4Governence’

A two-day workshop on ‘Youth Volunteerism and ICT4Governence’ was organized by IPS LEAD – the learning, excellence and development program of IPS – in collaboration with PYCA – Pakistan Youth Change Advocates – on January 15-16, 2018.

The workshop aimed at capacitating and empowering University’s youth on the use of innovative, accessible and inclusive ICTs/mobile technology enabled solutions in order to promote democratic governance values for efficient public services, transparency and accountability.

Organized especially for the students of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, the workshop not only trained the participants on the concepts of governance, but also encouraged them to come up with their own proposals for viable and practicable solutions for ICTs enabled governance. The selected proposals were also set to be launched with the technical and financial support of PYCA.
