IPS and Center for Strategic and Regional Studies (CSRS), Kabul, have penned down the renewal of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on November 19, 2019 with a view to promote mutual cooperation in academic research.

Signed by IPS’ GM Operations Naufil Shahrukh and DG CSRS Naseer Ahmad Nawidy, and set to commence from December 19, 2019, the MoU will remain effective for a period of another five years with a provision of extension or amendment with mutual consent. Having focused activity areas of Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, regional and global issues, understanding Pakistan/Afghanistan’s political, social and socio-economic dynamics, and other relevant topics of mutual interest, the agreement renewal will pave way for the two institutions for the exchange of research scholars, sharing of information, materials and expertise in the field of common interests, and collaboration in holding joint research studies, seminars, conferences, symposiums, lectures and trainings.
