The twelfth session of IPS’ series of programs ‘The Living Scripts’ was held with Sajid Hasan, former federal secretary, Ministry of Education, on March 13, 2020.
The speaker shed light on his life experiences from his childhood till his time as a civil servant.
Hasan joined civil services in 1971 after completing his post-graduate degree in Economics from University of the Punjab, Lahore. During his public service, he worked in the ministries of Finance, Commerce and Economic Affairs Division, finally retiring as Federal Secretary, Ministry of Education in 2006. He also worked in the Trading Corporation of Pakistan as well as in the United Nations Administration for East Timor. After his retirement, he worked in the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and also served as Managing Director, Daanish School Authority, Govt of Punjab.
The speaker additionally shared that he also served four years of his public services tenure in India, during which he took some personal initiatives which helped Pakistan increase its export to the eastern neighbor.
