Interactive session on maritime research at UoK

Naufil Shahrukh, GM Operations, IPS and Dr Maliha Zeba Khan, IPS’ non-resident research fellow and assistant professor, Department of International Relations, National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, visited University of Karachi’s Staff Club on February 16, 2021 and held an interactive session aimed at promoting interdisciplinary maritime research in Pakistan.

The session was organized by Maritime Study Forum (MSF) in collaboration with the University of Karachi’s Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC).

The interactive session, which was attended by faculty members from various departments of the University, aimed at highlighting significance of maritime issues and encouraging interdisciplinary research and write-ups in the underlining thematic areas like maritime security and diplomacy, law and policing, blue economy, coastal communities, maritime environment, biodiversity and topics related to the SDGs.
