Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) hosted a reception in the honour of Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, founder of Akhuwat Foundation and microfinance pioneer, who was recently honored with the Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asia’s ‘Nobel Prize’) for his interest- and collateral-free microfinance program that catalyzed scores of poor households in Pakistan.
