A delegation from the Department of Islamic Thought and Culture, National University of Modern Languages (NUML) headed by Prof Dr Mustafeez Ahmad Alvi, HoD, Dr Riaz Ahmad Saeed, assistant professor and focal person, Research and Collaboration, Dr Nasrullah Qureshi, lecturer and focal person, BS research, Hafiz Muhammad Asim, lecturer and coordinator, BS program, and Dr Umar Farooq, lecturer and student advisor visited IPS to discuss and explore collaborative ideas between the two Alma maters.
The exchange took place on June 23, 2023 in which IPS was represented by Professor Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam, director research & academic outreach, Syed Nadeem Farhat, research fellow, and Shafaq Sarfraz, manager outreach.
Highlighting the importance of bridging policy-research gap partnerships on the occasion, Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam stated IPS is actively engaged with academia as well as policymaking circles at multiple levels, aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and policy formulation in the country. The Institute, in addition, is also playing a role in capacitating young researchers and emerging scholars by connecting them to its pool of experts and practitioners hailing from various fields.
Dr Alvi expressed keen interest in the Institute’s Promoting Indigenous Policy Research Initiative (PIPRI) featuring brainstorming sessions with research students, internship opportunities, and publication of their research work on IPS platforms.
